On the website fristund.is, Reykjavík City provides accessible information about sports and recreational activities in the city, all in one place. The recreation website serves solely as an information portal, with actual registrations handled through the respective organizations. The website features information from Reykjavík Recreation Card partners, city recreation centers, museums and other organizations offering recreational activities throughout the city. The site automatically displays information from the registration systems Abler, Vala and Inna. Course providers using other systems can list their courses at no cost through the city's event calendar at Hvirfill.reykjavik.is at no cost to them.

Since organizations can choose whether to submit their information to the website, fristund.is does not provide a complete listing of all available activities.

We hope this resource will benefit all city residents while helping organizations promote their programs.. 

How do I register a course on fristund.is

If you use the registration systems Abler, Inna and Vala, courses are automatically displayed on the fristund.is website. If course organizers use other registration systems or do not have a registration system, courses can be registered on the website through the city's event calendar Hvirfill.reykjavik.is

 A user must be created in the system by clicking on Login in the right corner and then Create an account. Once a user has been created, courses can be registered in the system, which will then appear on fristund.is when the user checks that the course should be displayed there.
